An isometric action RPG by the Polish studio Dark Point Games, starring Achilles, caught up in a conflict between Ares and Hades. Achilles: Legends Untold supports singleplayer and co-op.
Achilles: Legends Untold is an action RPG inspired by soulslikes and classic hack'n'slash games. It was developed by an indie Polish studio Dark Point Games.
Achilles: Legends Untold is set in a world of Greek mythology. The titular hero, Achilles, is stuck in the middle of a conflict between Hades and Ares. To end their eternal battle, he must face Ares' son, Phobos. On his dangerous journey, he's assisted by Hephaestus, the god of smithing.
Achilles: Legends Untold is an isometric game. The game is set in various dangerous areas, ranging from ruined cities and temples to dense forests and dark dungeons. The player must explore these areas, completing quests and fighting enemies.
Combat primarily takes place in melee, as the player wields swords, spears and shields. Achilles must stay mobile, blocking enemy attacks, dodging and countering. Aside from regular foes, he'll also face powerful cyclopes and giant crabs. Though a mythical hero, he must be careful, as even common enemies can be a real challenge. The game features the GAIA system, which ensures groups of enemies behave realistically, working together and adapting to our fighting style.
As we progress, we develop our protagonist, learning new abilities, upgrading them and acquiring better gear. Equipment can either be found or forged by Hephaeustus after giving him necessary resources.
Achilles: Legends Untold supports singleplayer and online co-op.
Achilles: Legends Untold features high-quality visuals. The game is colorful, the locations and enemy models are all full of detail.

Game Ratings for Achilles: Legends Untold Video Game.
IGN: 5 / 10 by Jarrett Green
As it stands now, Achilles: Legends Untold is an undercooked and fairly broken romp through ancient Greece, with underwhelming combat and a world that's full of pretty things to look at but with little to do in it.
TheSixthAxis: 7 / 10 by Adrian Burrows
The Greek Myths have been plundered by video game developers to such a degree it's hard to conceive that a fresh take could be even possible. Remarkably, Achilles: Legends Untold offers just that. This action-adventure might be a little rough around the edges, but that arguably adds to its charm. If you can put up with some nasty difficulty spikes then you'll find a remarkable world of myths and legends to explore.
Thumb Culture: 3 / 5
Overall, Achilles: Legends Untold is a pretty decent game. Unfortunately, the Switch port does some injustices. The graphics aren’t the best and the longer-than-usual black loading screens leave little to be desired. I can’t blame the game devs for that but it does diminish the experience a little bit. As mentioned, the voice acting isn’t the greatest and can, at times, be off-putting. Aside from this, it’s a good game. I enjoyed the combat, despite it not being as souls-like as expected, and the devs did give an in-depth look into the Achilles story. As a game, I definitely recommend it to fans of RPGs and fans of mythology across all consoles, not just the Switch.
