The gameplay in InnerSpace for PC, SWITCH and etc. focuses on traversing worlds surrounded by water, where the laws of physics are reversed, and the locals live in cities built on the remnants of earlier civilizations. You play as an unnamed cartographer searching for artifacts and discovering previously unknown places to learn the history of this universe.
The game combines free exploration with a narrative, and it was inspired by such productions as Journey, Minecraft or Proteus. You can go wherever you want by a special vehicle, which can travel both in the air and in the water. The levels are not strictly separated, but are a part of a greater environment, which can be interacted with by e.g. using a special kind of energy, allowing you to shoot or change the machine's wings into blades to cut objects (such as electric wires, supplying energy to gates, or seaweeds).
All your actions are connected to the plot, uncovering the history of the worlds and their deities. Each world has its own demi-god keeper, and the encounters with them resemble colossus battles from Shadow of the Colossus. However, these giants are not just some bosses to defeat. The protagonist of InnerSpace can interact with them in many ways, not just in combat.
InnerSpace for PC, SWITCH and etc. features simple but pleasant visuals – clearly inspired by Journey – they’re modest but colorful (mostly red, blue, and orange). The soundtrack is equally minimalist and its calm notes provide for a fitting mood for exploration.

Game Ratings for InnerSpace Video Game.
God is a Geek: 6.5 / 10 by Nicola Ardron
InnerSpace is a visually stunning game that ultimately fails to connect. It wants the player to explore and uncover its secrets, but places them in an environment that is deliberately confusing to the point of frustration.
TheSixthAxis: 5 / 10 by Miguel Moran
InnerSpace manages to craft a bright, bizarre and beautiful world that is probably the best example of the phrase “eye candy” I can think of. Unfortunately, the act of exploring and navigating that serene, majestic world often times felt like a headache. The poor frame rate on Switch and no clear horizons made flying and swimming in InnerSpace far less enjoyable than the idea of those actions ever was.
TrustedReviews: 3.5 / 5 by Stuart Andrews
It's no thrill ride, but a thoughtful, mysterious adventure with moments of real wonder. If you're in the mood for something different, give it a go.
