A solo dev is creating a slasher in a sci-fi setting. Morbid Metal gets a demo today
Morbid Metal is an upcoming science fiction slasher from developer Felix Schade. The project lived to see a spectacular trailer and the announcement of the imminent launch of the demo version.

Felix Schade is an independent developer who decided to take on companies like Capcom and Team Ninja and make his own slasher. Morbid Metal, as the title suggests, is heading to personal computers, and during this year's PC Gaming Show, it received a new trailer and an announcement of a demo version. The demo will be made available on Steam on June 9 as part of Steam Next Fest.
Morbid Metal will take us to a post-apocalyptic science fiction world where we'll play as four different characters. Unlike most other slashers, we won't be stuck with one protagonist, but will have the ability to switch between them "on the fly." Since each warrior has their own set of strengths and weaknesses, as well as unique combat abilities, the game will allow us to create exciting and elaborate combos.
Another thing is that the locations we'll visit during the game are supposed to be partially procedurally generated, which should increase the game's replay value. As it looks quite nice, as shown in the video material above.
