Jotunnslayer Hordes of Hel console (Xbox, PS5, PS4, Switch) release explained
Is Jotunnslayer Hordes of Hel coming to PlayStation, Xbox and Switch consoles? Here’s what we know.

Jotunnslayer Hordes of Hel is a Norse mythology-themed roguelike that mixes hack-and-slash combat with bullet hell chaos. If you’re into games like Vampire Survivors, you’ll feel at home here, as you’ll face endless waves of enemies and ramping difficulty while choosing upgrades to stay alive. And if you love the storytelling and polished roguelike gameplay of Hades, this game brings a similar mythological vibe packed with action. But will it come on consoles?
Jotunnslayer Hordes of Hel console release explained
Xbox, Switch, PS5, and PS4 players might have to wait a while for Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel to arrive on their consoles. The game just launched in Early Access on Steam (January 21, 2025), and the current development roadmap focuses on adding:
- New playable classes
- More gods
- Additional maps
- World expansions
Unfortunately, there’s no information yet about potential console ports. But here’s some good news: the game already fully supports Xbox controllers, which feels like a solid first step toward bringing it to other platforms down the road.
The game’s been getting some great feedback from early reviews and has already pulled in a solid number of players on Steam. With this kind of positive start, the developers might feel more motivated to speed up the full release and even start thinking about bringing Hordes of Hel to consoles sooner rather than later.
