Major changes in Civilization 7 improve gameplay. Update 1.2.0 is launching today
Patch 1.2.0 will hit Sid Meier's Civilization 7 today, and with it will come many changes and fixes, as well as new gameplay features.

More improvements are coming to Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 in 1.2.0 update today.
The developers from Firaxis Games studio mentioned a new version of the game long before Easter. The team has released a new developer diary for those who missed the latest updates on Civilization 7. It discusses upcoming changes, some of which were inspired by player feedback.
Version 1.2.0 will expand the game with 10 new resources, along with the associated storyline events and their distribution mechanics between the hemispheres of the virtual world of Civilization 7. The population development formula has also been taken on board. Moreover, the "one more turn" mode (endless mode) and the classic team variant will be added to the game. Besides that, various gameplay quality of life improvements (QoL) will be added, with interface changes at the forefront (and a "repair all" button).
Civ 7 definitely needs these (and other) changes. After a not very successful release, players have become somewhat more understanding. For instance, they noted that the sixth installment also lagged behind the previous entry for a long time in terms of the number of players on Steam. However, the first updates have slightly improved the reception of the game. Nonetheless, 48% positive reviews on Valve's platform clearly show how much the seventh Civilization was missing.
Maybe the 1.2.0 version will finally help the game break through to at least a 50% "thumbs up" rating, if not mostly positive reviews. For now, fans are very positive about the changes, but the assessment of the update has to be postponed until its launch. We don't know the exact time, but we guess that, just like the previous patch, the update will be released in the afternoon.
