The Outsider - Jason Bateman Confirms Season 2
The last episode of The Outsider was aired a month ago. This did not prevent Jason Bateman, the actor playing Terry Maitland, from reporting on the second season.
The Outsider is a show based on a bestseller novel by Stephen King, which debuted on HBO on January 12, 2020. Jason Bateman, playing Terry Maitland, in an interview with Collider, confirmed that work on the second season is underway.

The interview touches upon various topics concerning an actor's work and career. The Outsider is one of them. We can find out not only how Bateman joined the cast of the series, but also whether we should expect the second season. When asked if he knew anything about the continuation, he replied:
"Well I know that they’re talking about it and Richard Price is playing with some ideas and taking some first steps as to what that second year might and feel like. Obviously, it’s a complete free-ball because the first season exhausted 100% of [Stephen King’s] book, the IP. So, it’s really all up to him."
It seems that everything is in the hands of Richard Price, the screenwriter of the first season of the series. On the one hand, the first season quickly became a success for HBO, but on the other hand, this time the plot will not be based on King's novel. One thing is certain - work on the second season is underway and we can only wait to see the effects.
