Total War's 25th anniversary will be celebrated in the best possible way. Creative Assembly announces huge game show
Creative Assembly studio intends to celebrate 25 years of the Total War series for several months. The anniversary celebration will culminate in a showcase of upcoming games.

The 25th anniversary of the Total War series will be celebrated by Creative Assembly with exciting announcements about new games in the series.
There were ups, there were downs, there were historical battles, there were also fantastic clashes. For a quarter of a century, the British developer has allowed players to face the challenges of the Middle Ages, antiquity, modern times, and the Old World of Warhammer. Along with the theater of war, the series itself has also evolved.
Of course, there were problems, but despite this, Total War not only managed to survive 25 years, but also remained, if not at the top, then at least in the forefront of strategic games. The devs are aware of this, and in an announcement published on the official Total War forum, the Creative Assembly team thanked both the fans for supporting the series for a quarter of a century and the employees for their work on the series.
There have been triumphs and tribulations throughout the years, and we're honoured and humbled to be one of the few video game franchises that get the chance to celebrate such a huge milestone. Without your support this would never have been possible – so a massive thank you from all of us on this special day!
The past and future of Total War in 2025
Creative Assembly is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Total War series by reminiscing about its history through interviews, videos, and historical multiplayer tournaments. The celebrations will take place from August to November. The devs are keen to allow players to join in celebrating the quarter-century of TW, whether through giveaways as part of competitions and Q&A sessions with studio staff, or presentations of fan mods and content creators (streamers, influencers, etc.).
However, the developer will focus not only on the past of the series. They will also reveal a lot about the future of the series during the presentation of Total War: 25th Anniversary Showcase, which will take place in early December. The stream will introduce new installments of the series and the development teams working on them.
Of course, we won't wait for all the new releases until December, or even until next year, because we probably shouldn't count on December releases of new games from Creative Assembly. This week, a major 6.2 update will hit Total War: Warhammer 3, bringing with it new units and important gameplay changes. The next DLC is also on the way.
