Final Fantasy VII Rebirth was finally released on PC, even if a little bit technically imperfect. While some people have issues like DX12 error, others look for their digital goodies. Regardless of those problems, thousands of people play the game (via SteamDB). Some of the players are not certain about the purchase, though. Why? Many people with ultrawide monitors would like to know if the game supports them before they pay for the game. We will address this doubts.

If you are a fan of ultrawide gameplay, we have bad news for you. The game does not support such resolutions (well, to be honest, even changing resolution is an issue for many). So, at this point you can’t do anything. However, numerous players don’t lose hope. It is quite possible that rather sooner than later we will see first mods, which will adjust the game to ultrawide screens. Of course, it is not written in stone, and we can’t be sure about that, but the chances are quite high, as the community finally added this option to Rebirth’s predecessor, Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Intergrade, in the past.
While modders work fast, remember that the game has been just released. So, it may take some time for them to create interesting creations. Be patient.
First players report that there are some mods implementing ultrawide to the game. Remember though that downloading mods from untrustworthy sources can be dangerous. You do so at your own risk.
