We have to wait for crossplay between Game Pass and Steam in Rematch
Rematch has many advantages, however, one major drawback is the lack of crossplay, even between Game Pass and Steam. Will it be added in the future? You can find out here.

Have you ever dreamed of becoming a soccer star, playing in the most famous stadiums around the world? Well, this dream can come true, as long as it also applies to virtual soccer fields, where matches in space or jungle are nothing unusual. All thanks to Rematch, a game that was released on June 19, 2025. This popular sports production gathers thousands of players, who are eager to enjoy their matches, whether with random people or with friends. Let’s be honest, though, it's more fun when you play with a coordinated team. However, it can happen that not all friends have the game on the same platform. What then? The snag is that at this point, the game doesn't support crossplay, even between Game Pass and Steam. Fortunately, help may be coming in this regard.
You have to wait for crossplay between Game Pass and Steam in Rematch
Yes, the news that Rematch will not have crossplay at launch was very breaking. Especially since this information came just hours before the game's advanced access release. Even more bizarrely, crossplay is not supported on the same hardware, just different platforms, affecting Game Pass and Steam users.
The good news is that Sloclap has confirmed that crossplay will be added to Rematch. The snag is that at this point it is unknown when this feature will be released. It may not be as quickly as we would like to, though, due to the small size of the studio. Therefore, you have to be patient. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel, as developers have placed this goal as one of their top priorities, so sooner or later, crossplay in Rematch will become a reality.
It's worth mentioning that Rematch gathered one million unique players within 24 hours of its release. This is an excellent result, especially for such a small studio as Sloclap. The game is getting good reviews, out of nearly 12,000, 77% of them are positive. The main complaints are the problem with matchmaking and FPS drops, which are slowly being resolved. There is one more, lack of team play, but it is the community issue
