- Portrait in Red is the last main DLC quest before painter Voyta sets off to Kuttenberg. You must first complete the previous quest - Chiaroscuro.
- Wait 24 hours (e.g. wait in place or use the bed) and talk again with Voyta. You will learn about Burkhard (more through persuasion) and all options boil down to the same thing - Henry can help the painter get rid of the ruthless murderer.
Optionally, you can also meet with the Bailiff of Troskowitz - Thrush. This man set a bounty on Burkhard. This step is not required to complete Voyta's mission.
Where is the bandits' camp?
- You need to head northeast from the Trosky Castle. The bandits' camp is in the forest and you can easily locate it by following the voices of the singing bandits.
Opponents in the camp will attack Henry as soon as they notice him. So it's worth getting prepared - make sure you have good equipment and a full health bar. It might also be a good idea to save the game. It's easy to die in the camp, especially if Henry is surrounded by a group of enemies.

- A more obvious course of action would be to attack the bandits. If you choose this option, focus on defeating Burkhard - you will recognize him by the armor elements and a shield.
- Killing Burkhard will cause the remaining bandits to automatically flee. You don't have to keep fighting them.
- A less obvious variant is to sneak into the camp at night. Make sure you have taken off armor parts and put on clothes that will facilitate staying hidden.
- There are bandits with torches around the camp, but they are easy to spot. Additionally, one of the bandits can sit by the fire in the camp. You can stun or kill enemies (remember, Voyta would prefer to avoid bloodshed except for killing Burkhard).
- In the camp, you can find sleeping Burkhard - perform a stealth attack on him. Make sure in advance that you have a dagger in your equipment to kill the target instantly.
Robbing Burkhard and returning to Voyta
- Regardless of the chosen tactic, don't rush back to the painter. Check Burkhard's body to find the key to the chest. You can then open it and find, e.g. the killer's helmet. You can deliver this item to Voyta - it's an optional hidden objective of this quest. Voyta can paint the helmet and give it back to you.
- Return to Trosky Castle to tell Voyta that Burkhard is dead. You will unlock new symbols to paint on a shield.
- The painter will set off to Kuttenberg region. You must have this region unlocked (Storm main quest) and use a caravan to travel there. You can visit the painter in his studio in the town of Kuttenberg to start the next quest, The Night-Mare.
